Esco Cleanroom Garment Storage Cabinet (EGSC)
Esco Garment Storage Cabinet is the premium selection for the discerning user. It offers a combination of value, high quality construction, low operating noise levels, and a wide product range to suit all budgets, from an industry leader.
Airborne particle concentrations in the cleanroom, ranging from 0.1 microns to 5 microns, are strictly regulated. Equipment and tools that are built, constructed, and used must be done so in a way that limits the introduction, production, and retention of particles. Operators are the primary source of both dry and microbe-carrying particle contamination inside the cleanroom. It could result from the operator's body or clothing. The cleanroom can become contaminated by the garment element, which can include the fabric itself, or from fabric processing, and washing practices, as well as the handling and packaging of the garment.
Therefore, it is crucial to comprehend and evaluate every step of the value chain involved in the production and handling of garments, as well as their performance throughout time. The danger of contamination directly correlates with the type of garments used within the cleanroom. For instance, wearing garments made of cotton, especially durable press cotton, inside of a coverall with a high humidity level might result in high released particle concentrations, and these particles can leak out of the garment's openings as the wearer moves. While certain garment systems are good at retaining particles, others are not. The filtering effectiveness of a garment is influenced by the fabric used to make it, as well as the design of the garment (such as the type of seams, sewing thread, zipper, and facial closure), and the manufacturing quality.
Garment can contaminate a cleanroom because it might not be sterile, the fabric may shed particles, the sewing thread may lint, the elastics may shed particles as they are stretched, etc. For the risk assessment, each of these factors must be taken into account. After a garment has been washed, handling is another risk to take into account. It's important to keep the garment clean and stop the accumulation of particulate on the fabric.
Esco Healthcare cleanroom laminar flow garment storage cabinet keeps garments clean and free of particulate contamination that can be deposited during storage and between washes. This minimizes particulate ingress in the cleanroom from operator garments which results in better compliance with hygiene for good manufacturing practice.
Esco Garment Storage Cabinet is designed in accordance with ISO 14644-1 standard. It makes a positive contribution to maintaining the cleanliness environment as it enables garments to be stored in a visible and organized manner.
Esco is a market pioneer for high-end laminar flow clean benches in the industrial and life sciences sectors worldwide. Laminar flow clean benches from Esco have been installed in tens of thousands of locations since 1978, offering dependable sample and work process protection for a wide range of applications.

Application
Applications for Esco Garment Storage Cabinets include those requiring entry into a cleanroom or similar isolated or controlled environment, such as those in the electronics assembly, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, aerospace, and medical device sectors. Esco Garment Storage Cabinet is also applicable for mycology and food microbiology, mammalian and plant cell culture, clinical pharmacy, and hospital solutions.

-
A non-washable polyester pre-filter with 90% efficiency is used to draw room air through the top of the Esco Garment Storage Cabinet during operation, trapping bigger particles and extending the life of the main filter.
-
Once the air has been evenly driven through the ULPA filter with > 99.995% efficiency, it is projected vertically over the inside cabinet in a unidirectional or laminar stream of clean air. Airflow maintains the cleanliness of the clothing inside the cabinet throughout storage and handling by flushing and diluting all airborne pollutants.
-
The cleaned air then exits the storage area via the cabinet's entire open front.
-
A nominal filter face velocity of 0.45 m/s (90 fpm) guarantees that there are enough air changes inside the cabinet's enclosed space in order to preserve the immediate environment clean.
